As part of the National Bank of Abu Dhabi’s Global Financial Markets Forum, Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan delivered a keynote speech on the development and progression of women in the United Arab Emirates.
Sheikha Shamma also used this opportunity to announce her new initiative, the Women’s Empowerment Equality Board. Its aim is to “encourage the empowerment of all women in all aspects of life across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”
Sheikha Shamma further invited the attendees to nominate female candidates currently employed and living in the UAE for potential board positions across industries in the UAE.
