Sheikha Shamma was part of a delegation from His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Humanitarian & Scientific Foundation visiting a refugee camp to distribute nutritional and medical aid for the people affected by the drought and food shortage.

Accompanied Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif Al Nahyan to distribute relief assistance donated by His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan Humanitarian & Scientific Foundation, as part of the UAE Compassion campaign, launched by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to provide winter aid to Syrian refugees.

Sheikha Shamma was a key speaker for the “Stay Strong Nepal” fundraising campaign at the Promenade on the Women’s Campus of Zayed University, where she gave an impassioned speech about relief aid for the country’s earthquake victims. Afterwards she accompanied Nepal’s ambassador to the UAE on a tour of the Promenade, visiting the exhibits which were raising funds for the Nepalese community.

It's always easy to seek advice; it's seeking advice from the right people that's the challenge. This gives women the chance to boost their confidence and have a voice. It's an important step towards developing women leaders.
