Fast track to 2014 and AASJ has a number of horses located in the UAE and Europe, for competition and breeding. Sheikha Shamma’s vision is being realized.
Mission
To combine sourcing and breeding a robust string of horses, training them according to our ethics from the very early stages to the highest level of equestrian sport, and always keeping their welfare at the forefront of our thoughts. To bring a market to the UAE and within Europe.
Vision
The horse is at the centre of Al Asayl Show Jumping’s philosophy. We believe in giving the best care to our animals and building relationships of trust and respect. We hope to continue to see our horses compete confidently on both the national and international circuits.
Breeding
Only mares and stallions with proven pedigree are involved in the AASJ breeding programme. The breeding operation take place in Europe and follows a meticulously structured four-year programme to enable an accurate assessment of their potential. It is AASJ’s vision that by using this model our young horses are worthy to go on to new ownership via Auctions or private sales.
Goals
To establish an internationally competitive show jumping team, backed by a breeding programme of sport horses with proven bloodlines and a firm guarantee in market sales.
Achievements
AASJ horses are competing at GP level and the young horses produced by AASJ have been very successful in their age classes in Europe and the UAE.
FEI Children’s International Jumping Championships in Abu Dhabi
Sheikha Shamma supported young national rider Ayesha Al Shamsi, who claimed second place in the FEI World Children’s Championships held in Abu Dhabi. Sheikha Shamma is a believer in empowering youth and encouraging them to pursue their sporting ambitions.
Ayesha, while dedicating her prize to Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nayhan, was very modest in her comments: “I was lucky to get the same horse that I was training on in the draw and the championship gave me an ideal platform to mark the Emirates map in the world jumping arena.”
